The Big Bang AI Festival Event App – The community in your hand
Discover how the #BBKIF Event App connects programmes, people and opportunities in a single digital space.
Orientation and exchange at Europe's largest AI event
The Big Bang AI Festival brought together a wide range of programme items, stages and networking formats. A clear digital structure was needed to help participants find their way around and keep information up to date at all times. The aim was to use a digital solution that would both provide clarity and support interaction.
‘Our goal was to make all content – from programme and masterclass applications to speaker profiles and networking functions – available in a bundled and easily accessible form,’ says Julia Klinner, Senior Event & Project Manager (BIG BANG KI FESTIVAL).
‘The collaboration with plazz AG was largely cooperative and solution-oriented. The quick response time to short-term problems is to be viewed positively.’

The festival's digital stage
More than 8,000 participants, over 400 speakers, 6 stages – and your own stage in your pocket.
The app was not just a programme window, but a place for visibility and exchange. It opened up opportunities to network, initiate conversations and actively shape one’s own role in the festival. Networking was not left to chance, but could take place in a targeted manner.
QR codes and matchmaking features helped people connect more quickly who might not otherwise have met. Ideas, projects and interests could be shared directly on site. The app thus supported the core of the Big Bang AI Festival: encounters, dialogue and joint reflection.
At the same time, it made it easier to navigate the dense programme schedule. Sessions could be planned, favourited and updated immediately in the event of changes. The app thus became a central tool for overview, participation and contact.
