Der Erfinder des Dateiformats mp3 und plazz AG<\/a> Gesellschafter Prof. Dr. Brandenburg begleitete uns bei unserem letzten Teamevent, dem Wandertag im Th\u00fcringer Wald<\/a>. Wir sprachen mit ihm \u00fcber die Entwicklung des mp3-Formats und seinem j\u00fcngsten Projekt \u201ePARty<\/a>\u201c, bei welchem die plazz AG als Industriepartner mit an Bord ist.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Eine der letzten gro\u00dfen deutschen Innovationen <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Mit dem Dateiformat mp3<\/a> revolutionierte Prof. Brandenburg<\/a> mit seinem Team die Musikindustrie. Bereits in den 1980er-Jahren wurde an den Grundlagen get\u00fcftelt, was die Musikindustrie ins Internetzeitalter katapultierte. Gemeint ist die Komprimierung von Audiodateien auf ein Format mit geringer Datengr\u00f6\u00dfe, trotz hoher Klangqualit\u00e4t. Die Umsetzung erfolgte analog dem ISDN<\/a> aus dem Telekommunikationsbereich. Dabei wurden die Frequenzen aus Audiodateien entfernt, die nicht wahrgenommen werden. Mitte der 1990er-Jahre wurde dieses Dateiformat zum internationalen Standard und somit zu einem gro\u00dfen Erfolg made in Germany.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Brandenburgs \u201ePARty\u201c soll die n\u00e4chste gro\u00dfe Innovation werden<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Eine alte Vision von Prof. Brandenburg soll nun entwickelt werden: die perfekte Audio-Illusion. Sein jetziges Projekt tr\u00e4gt den Namen \u201ePARty<\/strong>\u201c und steht f\u00fcr Personalized Auditory Reality<\/strong>. Dabei handelt es sich um Kopfh\u00f6rer, die intelligent die Ger\u00e4usche der Umgebung aufnehmen. Das System erkennt den eigenen Standpunkt sowie das Geschehen um die eigene Person. Somit erklingt der Ton realistisch von der richtigen Stelle im Raum. Das System bezieht die akustischen Signale auf die Umgebung, sodass der Ton m\u00f6glichst nat\u00fcrlich klingt<\/strong>. Als Vergleich dient eine Brille. Tr\u00e4ger:innen einer Brille vergessen schnell, dass sie auf der Nase sitzt. Dieses Erlebnis kann ebenfalls modifiziert werden.<\/p>

Ein konkretes Anwendungsbeispiel w\u00e4re bei einer Telefonkonferenz. Durch PARty kann das Gef\u00fchl erzeugt werden, dass die Gespr\u00e4chspartner:innen tats\u00e4chlich eineinhalb Meter voneinander entfernt sitzen und nicht scheinbar in den jeweiligen K\u00f6pfen sprechen, obwohl Kopfh\u00f6rer getragen werden.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
